We are thrilled to introduce four of our newest team members at C.A.T.A. We are growing our family of food justice and workers' rights activists to serve our communities better. Jose Spellman-Lopez, Food Justice Co-Coordinator Jose continues his journey in agriculture, engaging youth and interacting with the community in the garden. Before joining C.A.T.A., he spent time learning how to grow food and cultivating friendships on both the east and west coasts. Jose is eager to share his passion and enthusiasm for exploring food and culture through the lens of the food justice system. Rigoberto Siva Mendez, Food Justice Youth Leader Rigoberto is an upcoming senior at Bridgeton High School and has been part of the Youth Food Justice Internship since it began. His favorite part of working with C.A.T.A. is creating meaningful relationships with community members and working to improve their well-being. Xitlalic Flores, Food Justice Youth Leader Xitlalic is a junior at Bridgeton High School. She loves working in the community garden and C.A.T.A. because she sees it as an excellent opportunity to improve her communication skill and connect with the community. In addition, she wants to add some art to our garden to make it even more beautiful. Katherin Zepeda, Administrative Assistant Katherin was born in Honduras but has lived in the United States for 22 years.
